The Process

Transformation doesn’t happen overnight, but it does happen with a plan. My process is designed to take the overwhelm out of decluttering, guiding you from chaos to calm with clarity and support.

Please don't feel the need to tidy before I arrive. Seeing your home in its natural state allows me to understand where the systems are breaking down so I can help you fix them for good.

The Zen Edit Process Flow

01. Discovery & Consultation

Every project begins with a conversation. I'll listen to your pain points, how you currently use your space, and what your ultimate "Zen" looks like.

We'll start with a complimentary 15-minute phone call. If I'm a good fit for your project, we'll proceed to an in-home consultation to walk through your space and agree on the scope of the work.

02. The Edit

This is where the magic happens. I roll up my sleeves and begin the physical work of transforming your environment.

I sort, edit, and assign homes to what remains. I design intuitive systems—using what you have or recommending new storage—to ensure your space finally works for you, not against you.

The Edit is most often commenced on the same day as the in-home consultation, for efficiency and to ensure we maintain momentum.

03. Evolution & Maintenance

Lifestyles and needs naturally evolve, and your home must evolve with them. Clutter can also have a way of creeping back in as seasons change or life gets busy.

To fine-tune existing systems, address new lifestyle changes and combat clutter re-creep, I recommend booking a retouch session every 4-6 months to keep their space optimised.

The Zen Edit has bases in both The Blue Mountains and The Northern Beaches. I service:

  • The Blue Mountains (Blackheath → Katoomba → Penrith)
  • Inner West & CBD
  • Lower North Shore
  • The Northern Beaches

For larger projects I can often make the travel work.

How I work

  • I focus on using what you already own first
  • I can order any new items directly to your home
  • I coordinate disposal (charities, marketplace, rubbish collection)
  • I don’t provide heavy lifting or removalist services
  • Travel outside my core areas may incur a small fee
